Importing a DWG file with ArchiCAD 8.1

Greetings,

I've got a 11Mb DWG file which includes another DWG file. I'm trying to open it with ArchiCAD 8.1 but it fails. The drawing gets partially rendered on the screen, then beachball starts to spin endlessly. The reason of the problem is explained in Console.app: there are many messages about ArchiCAD's internal engine being out of memory. Actually when that happens, my system has at least 2Gb of free RAM, because I'm running on a G5 with 4Gb RAM. It seems to me that ArchiCAD is unable to allocate memory for more than 1Gb.

I also tried to convert the DWG file to a DXF (leaving the included file as a DWF, though), but I get the same result. Any thought about this?

Thank you in advance,
Alessandro.
