"Cannot write output file" when save as .dwg

Hi!

I got a project here there I got "cannot write output file" when save as .dwg.

I can't see anything wrong in my project and other projects still work.

It's my AC10 [SWE] version

Anyone else that got this problem in the past and find the solution what was wrong in the projectfile?`

[after more tests]
It seams like it is only some views that I can't save out as .dwg, but I can't see any differences between working and not working views?

The only times I have gotten that message was when I have disconnected and reconnected to a (Windows) network, or changed the file names or path while ArchiCAD is still open. Perhaps if you re-path the destination in the Publisher...

I use the "Save as" menu under File menu, not publisher in this case. So that wouldn't be the problem.

Also make sure the .dwg file you're saving to is not currently in use by another program. I sometimes publish - check, forget to close - correct - republish - receive error message.

it's a completely new file. I think it could have something to do with the x-refs or hotlinked modules on the floors that I couldn't write as .dwg

I have the same problem!
I have no hotlinked modules or Xrefs.
It is quite a big project, the file is about 200MB.
For some of the stories it is OK but some I cant export into dwg or dxf whatever I do!

Need urgent help!!! Thanks!

Forgot to mention that I was working in ArchiCAD10.

- resaved file with a different name
- turned on/off layers with fills, objects, dimensions, texts...
- tried numerous different settings in the translator
- saved as a .pla and used just that as an active library
- erased large objects (a large slab that I used as terrain)
...

NOTHING!!! "Cannot write output file"

Opened the file in ArchiCAD11 ... success!!! It worked!

I got the same problem.
I tried to open a new archicad project and then merged the corrupt file with the new one, including the stories and the layout book. Then saved - WORKED.
I use ARCHICAD 23

You can always saveas to dxf format and then open it in autocad. Save as dwg later on. Problem solved.
