Empty PMK's

New problem.
We have a solo project that is located on the server. While one person is working in the Archicad project, another person would like to update the plotmaker files. When they try to do this they get a message that the PMK is empty. Is working this way not possible? I realize that teamwork would solve this problem, but I'm trying to find out if this is just the way archicad handles two different machines working together on a solo project.

Did you set the preferences/cache folder in PlotMaker to "include cache in the layoutbook"?

No, as this increases the layout book file size significantly. I have been in contact with graphisoft technical support and they agree that this is probably a bug that is caused by having the current PLN file open on a different machine than is updating the plotmaker layout book. It would seem that you should either be locked out from updating a PLN if someone else has it open or it should update correctly; just as it would if the PLN was open on the same machine that was performing the update.

Also this would be easily solved by converting the file to a teamwork file.

If several users will be taking turns working with the same .LBK you need to "include the cache in the layoutbook". BGArchiCAD creates PMKs in the background and they are stored locally. If another user opens the .LBK on another workstation, the file doesn't have access to the PMKs unless the cache is included in the layout book.

This is true until the next user updates the file. Then their cache will include the PMK files as well.
