Any tip as how to create multiple slabs in one go?

Hi there.

I´m wondering whether theres a trick to create multiple Slabs, in 1 or at least a few actions... Lets say you have a .dwg showing a site with multplie (+50) building contours.

I those should be raises as Slabs (or morphs) - Do we then have a a neat trick to do it faster than manually using Magic Wand on each of the contours?

Kind regards

Thomas

If they are evenly spaced, you could multiply as an array.

Otherwise, magic wand is the fastest way.

Think Rhino is the way to go - if available. Either with the GH-AC connector which gives geometries as slabs/morphs or you can modell in Rhino and use Speckle to send it to AC which gives the geometries as objects.

Hi Thomas,

I made a small polyline accessory object to create hatching for this type of plan. I just added a 3D prism to it.

Simply select the polylines and use the Polyline Accessory function... the objects are then placed according to the contours of the polylines

In the French version Menu Drawing - Drawing extras - Accessories - Polyline accessories

Hi  Yves.

This sounds very helpfull indeed.  However, Im not sure how to make it work...  It´s an object, that can trace selected polylines...  But I can´t seem to find in the Document->Drawing Extras menu...

I´m I looking the wrong place? - Can´t seem to find anything related in the "Design Menu" as well!

I think that on your archicad it is in the Design menu (Called Drawing in French version)

Sorry for the confusion. I just made it work in AC 27 - does it work in previous versions as well... I tried out a couple of thing to make it work, but since this is a .gsm file. Then all you need is to upload it to Embedded Library, and then it works?
