Curved Walls in y axis?

Anonymous
Not applicable
Hello ArchiCAD Users,
I am wondering whether anyone can help me with what I am trying to achieve. I have attached a quick SketchUp model of what I am trying to do to ease assistance. I am trying to create a curved wall in the y axis, I know how to do this in the x axis but am unsure of the technique for what I'm after. I have heard of custom profiles, would this be the solution?

Thanks,
Chris

In Archicad, the "Y" axis is not the vertical one. We use cartesian geometry here, pardner.

If that curved roof is what you want, complex profiles can do it.

It can also be done with the roof tool, but this method is tedious.

Now if anyone can help me view .wmv files on a MAc, i would be in heaven.

Thanks for the help, I'll give it a go and get back to you all, try the Flip for Mac Component which plays WMV files in Quicktime.

Great.
I am perplexed because i AM up-to-date with the Flipper, but it still needs something more…

Do you need any special codecs perhaps? (Sorry, know nothing about Macs!)

Depends what codec is required. Some other possible avenues:
Perian http://perian.org/
VLC media player http://www.videolan.org/

Vaulted roof. It will be segmented, but it's a roof - meaning that it displays and behaves like a roof.

Alternatively, if you need a smooth curve, and know all the workarounds, then Complex profile.
