How can i create an entrance canopy?

I need to create and form a new entrance canopy that isnt offered in the standard archicad library....it will consist of timber columns and beams and a standard pitched roof....is there any way i may be able to incorporate such an item into my model?

it sounds like what you after can be easily created with the standard modeling tools: beams, columns & roofs. am I missing something?

well i think i have found the library columns beams etc...but i just needed them a little more detailed..ie the edges of the columns have been specified as being trimmed at the edges...whereas everything in the library comes as standard
