From the other thread, I gather that you didn't get any training in setting up PlotMaker. Steve answers your question here:

While I don't agree with the approach, it does work ... just more work for updates IMHO.

There are a number of good users in the area but Cole's best bet would be to contact Steve Williams of Cadtek (the local reseller) about scheduling some basic training.
