Hi all, for presentation purposes, I am trying to fill voids with a solid fill that as shown in the attached diagram. What would be a reasonable approach to achieve this?

Use the polygon method of the wall tool.

An even faster way:

1. Activate Fill Tool in toolbox;
2. Select all fills (ctrl+A);
3. Click and hold on a fill to invoke pet palette;
4. Select Add to Polygon from pet palette;
5. Hold spacebar down to invoke magic wand;
6. Click inside void of the current fill;
7. Repeat steps 3-6 for the rest of the voids.
