patio doors with sidelight

hi, i'm a new user here. i have ac11 on mac osx.

my question pertains to getting the right combination of windows and doors to look right. i need a patio door with sidelights on each side. i can't seem to find the part so i make it with a door and a window part. but the trim looks weird from the outside, it overlaps.

can someone suggest the best way to do this ?

The best looking solution would be to turn the trims off and add them as a separate part or parts. You can use the "D Empty 11" as a single cased opening if that suits your purpose, or you can piece the casings together with beams and columns (even use profiles to make fancy trims). This may be more "Virtual Carpentry" than you are interested in though.

that sounds like a lot of work. someone told me about the "gang" options but i don't know anything about it. do you have any ideas about it ?
