Calculations/Mathematical Expressions in Coordinates Box etc

One wish in our Office is to be able to enter mathematical expressions in the coordinates box or in the Tacker.

For example 225*5.5-10 to draw a wall the length of 5 UK bricks minus the mortar joint.

Allplan has this feature and using ArchiCAD we miss it.

You can do some simple operations (add and subtract), but I've also worked with CAD tools that offered much more and really miss it.
ArchiCAD supports RPN operations, so you could for example add 30 degrees to an angle measurement by typing 30+
... or subtract 90 degrees by typing 90-

absolutely. from time to time i try the odd (simple) multiplication or division just to see if it's been enhanced in any way . . .

the example you state, andy, would be really useful . . .

an essential development for both the coord box AND tracker.

I use the relative way of inputting distances and angles all the time such as 1000- etc.

This feature has been in ArchiCAD since version 5 at least.

I'm glad you guys agree that being able to enter mathematical expressions is a good idea.

Wished many times before. I gave up hope!
Autocad has been having it for decades!

Last poll I saw on thesame topic - year 2005:

Oh man!!!! Yeah!!! It's about the only thing I miss from ACAD. They have got to give AC that capability.
