Column Core Line uneditable in AC12 -build 2523

If you decide to place a Column the setting for the Core Line Pen (color and line type) can not be edited until you select the Custom profile option and uncheck "Apply Structure Settings".

Is there a reason why the settings for Custom affect the Rectangular and Circular Options?

We are on 2523 and still have the problem.

Is it dependent on when the columns were placed in the file?

If you change to custom and then back again it stays editable.

Eduardo, I noticed that you do not have 'Veneer' checked off on the Geometry and Positioning tab. Could this be the culprit?. I assumed that the core pens, without their being a veneer would not apply as the pens for the outermost lines are the same as for the core.

With custom profiles applied to a column, there is also no override for 'core' settings as the program would not know if this condition exists.

Opened the file today to check because of Erica's comment and the core line cannot be edited again. Even with Veneer checked.

There must be something else, since it fixed itself I have not done anything on this file though I did create a new project.

Checked my template file and it has the problem. The conclusion might be that if you open a file that has that problem (created prior the update that fixed the bug) then the next file that you open will inherit the setting.

Selecting the Custom Profile Option, the only place to edit this option.

I'm using Archicad 14. I have the same problem with the greyed out option.

How do i display the 'Apply structures settings' option?

You have to select the Custom Profile Option in The Geometry section first 'Apply structures settings' will be shown under the cut surface options
