Hi guys!

I am a new user of Archicad 11, I am in my 4th month now. I have problems understanding GDL Making, i am overwhelmed with the scripting and stuffs... I am doing an office walktrough and I cant seem to understand how to go about opening doors in animation. Can someone help me and simplify things for me. I have been an autocad & 3d max user for quite sometime now and its just now that Im doing animations.

Please help... Ill appreciate what ever help you can give. Thank you!

Unless you are using 'Door and Window Builder' by Cadimage, the standard AC doors and windows cannot be opened for animation. It is perfectly feasible to code in this feature on your own doors, but the AC doors are so complex, with several layers of macros, that it is not worth the hassle.

Here are a couple of threads that describe the process if you want to go ahead -

Hope that helps!

Hi Peter!

I was able to open the doors in animation from the thread you gave. One problem is when I am running the fly-through & saving it as .mov file, its registering that "not enough memory", how can this be? Is it because my PC is just at 2.0gb ram? How can I improve this?

Thanks much!
