export dwg the way 3ds"materials"

Hello, everybody.

I use AC12 for architectural modeling an 3ds max + vray for rendering.
I used to export my model to *.3ds format with the option "materials" checked.

I wonder if there is a way to export a dwg file with the same structure of layers so as to link it, to 3ds max.

The only settings that worked for me is "as is for output" but i couldn't find a way to create layers as the way 3ds export "materials does.

thank you

I got something. exporting dwg "as is for output" and then linking to 3ds max can work unless link preset is set to "color". Everything seems to work fine like 3ds export set to "material".
Link archicad model as dwg, apply materials, modifiers, then change archicad model and click reload. Link works!
I have an issue with some gdl parts like chairs.. they seem to have one color despite the different materials they made of.. i 'll keep searching..
