Is there any way to get a rotated rounded rectangle that follows the actual boundaries of the area you are detailing and has the marker head horizontal?

I can get the bottom one, which doesn't conform to the outline of the area being detailed (with a lot of work) and I cant get the marker head horizontal.

Or I get the top one which doesn't have rounded corners on the boundary line and there is no line connecting the marker head to the boundary.

Am I missing something? I could even live without the rounded corners if I could get the line connecting boundary to head.

I'm still on AC11 -- so I can't answer for AC12 -- but, there is a parameter in the Marker panel under Marker Geometry called "Show Marker Line" which controls the line that you refer to.

The show marker line option disappears when you select the Clip Polygon boundary

Huh -- it didn't in AC11. Looks like a case of "breaking something whilst fixing something else."

I think this actually broke between AC10 and AC11.

GS is aware of it.

Really? Then I must have inadvertently fixed it when customizing the AC11 markers for our firm

OK -- From what I can tell from my notes, I found the AC11 Built-in Detail Marker problematic, so I reverted to the Detail Indicator_NCS from the AC10 Subset library and made the necessary adjustments so that it was compatible with the new AC11 features. I suppose GS could do the same...
