Assigning permanent layers to composite wall types

Does anyone know if you can assign a permanent layer to a created composite wall?
For instance, I create a new 2x4 interior wall composite. Every time I select the wall tool and use that new composite, can I have it show up on the NEW INTERIOR WALL layer without having to physically assign it to that layer each time?

Thanks,
Patrick

I think that favorite should be your approach .

It is not possible to lock elements to certain layers in ArchiCAD .. anything can be placed on any layer and there is really nothing you can do about it (other than establish and train people in CAD standards).

As whatever says one way would be to define a Favourite with the wall settings you want (Composite, Layer, Height, etc). This can then be accessed via the Favourites Pallette.

Favourites are the way to go. Of course once you have each type of wall placed you can always use the eye dropper to match properties

you can't build a line
