CINEMA 4D ADD-ON TO ARCHICAD 12 START EDITION

I am unable to activate Cinema 4d Add-0n to Archicad 12 Start edition--
even tho confirmation shows the Add-on in the Add-on Manager window---
"use designated Add-0n folder, Macintosh HD: MAXON:CINEMA 4DR10"

I am on Mac OS X 10.4.11
