What is the OS and is it up to date?

This is a Java based problem; if your Windows (I presume XP?) is not updated, this will definitely happen.

Do you have administrators rights on this account? I once read, that you must have them, or some vierd java mesages can come up during installation.

Try this to create a log file during installation:

Sorry, it turns out that was the wrong url.

I looked a little deeper and found this:
http://support.installshield.com/kb/view.asp?articleid=Q110959

It basically says there is a conflict with Turkish regional settings. That rang a bell since your profile says you are in Turkey - so that must be the problem.

Then I found this:
http://www.netbeans.org/nonav/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=52012

Which is regarding netbeans and might seem irrelevant, but it instructs that the only known workaround for the installshield problem listed above is to change the regional settings in XP. Try changing it to english (or something else), then install AC 10, then change it back to Turkish.

I hope that works. If it does, GS should obvioulsy be notified about this.

thanks a lot eric! that really did set things going on course.
i should inform that i use a an english windows xp sp2 with regional settings set to turkish. i don't know if it is a problem with a turkish-interface-xp. but still the guys at graphisoft should take the issue into consideration, as eric pointed out.

cheers all!
