I wish that archicad have 3d rotate command.

I hate to go in gdl to put some now lines (rot x, roty, rotz)
I m lucky becouse David N. show me a cookbook but a lot of people don't know nothing about gdl and these users of archicad are in big trouble when they for example need to rotate 3d text.

Then i must to show them a way how to do that !

For those who don't want to learn gdl, GS plz make in some new ver of archicad 3d rotate.

I will be very helpful if this 3d rotate command be able to rotate wall, column,

Funny ... I thought there is a parameter for 3D text? 😉

Think about your wish re walls and columns as a builder would.

But, I agree for the objects - the rotation IS possible, as ArchiForma for example proves.

I do too. It should be included in the 3D pet palette.

I do three! I love working in 3D in SketchUp. When I move back into AC, it's quite frustrating to be so limited in 3D navigation.

The other drawback with GDL is that it will only work on a single object, and rotate about an origin which is local to that object. You can't just take an arbitrary selection of objects and rotate them about a common axis.

Take a look at FrameWright for 3D tools including 3D rotation, 3D cutting, working planes, and profiling (+no GDL scripting required). You can select any number of objects and rotate in 3D about a user-defined axis - all the objects remain independently editable and no new objects are created. Refer to:

count me in. rotation about all axis whilst working in 3D window is essential!

of course, developing the existing tool/elements so that they too can rotate would also be a huge leap forward . . .

Yes, this would be good!

And you already posted the ad, no need of reminding us in every post ... great addon!

It would be really nice to be able to rotate objects in 3D.
