"X" on my Archicad 25 startup splash screen after entering and leaving projects?...why?

I get "X's" on my startup screen in Archicad 25. As if the software has lost where to look for files I recently opened...why?

That is to remove the file path from the list. It will not erase the file.

And it seems to be a good idea to keep that list as short as possible.

i.e. remove older files from the list if you won't be using them any more.

A long lists seems to affect startup times.

But...isn;t the idea of that list to be able to just click on one of the previously opened PLN flles or TW files and go!.... I mean, whats the point if the list can't keep track of what I've opened and continually gives me an "X" on the startup screen?????

Please.....if I'm missing something here...enlighten me....please.

Sure it is.

But will you want to have access to the last 200 files you have opened?

How often are you going to want to re-open one of those.

And now the ones you no longer think you will want, you can remove from the list.

There seems to be no limit now to the number of recently opened files.

I am not sure why.

Maybe it is because it also shows you 'crashed' files (they will be red) as well rather than in a separate window when you start like it used to do.

Before we got this new start screen, there used to be a list with a limit of about 8 or 12 files files I think.

I am not sure why there is no longer a limit.

I guess the good thing is you can filter the list to narrow it down.

But there have been a few posts now that say when this list starts to grow, it slows the start of Archicad.

And I have experienced it myself.
