Radial Dimension on Objects

Hi,

Just wanted to check if I am missing something the regarding Radial dimension tool in ArchiCAD, I am using the Radial Dimension Tool to show dimension of a curved object on plan but its not identifying the object to show Radial dimension, where as it is identifying curved walls on plan to show the Radial Dimension.

It seems that you have to draw an arc and radial dimension it and hide the arc to fake the presentation.

Can any one kindly let me know how they are doing it in similar situations.

You could amend the 2D script to have a dimensionable arc i.e. putting the faux arc into the object as opposed to it being a separate element.

All old users of ArchiCAD know that the cursor can only recognize the Hotspot, for the library elements, no lines or other nodes than the ones defined in the scripts.

In the last few versions of GDL, there are new commands that allow lines and arcs to be recognized (thus dimensioned, I assume...), but the majority of the standard object do not use them.

If you want to add these commands to your object, search for HOTLINE2 and HOTARC2 in the GDL user manual.
