The window won't flip, I need the transom on the other side, when I click flip, it changes in the image on the object settings but nothing changes on the elevation. I've attached an image. I'm using Archicad 23 on a macintosh

Thanks

Ahh Ok.

As I usually flip W/D with the help of pet palette I rarely flip via settings dialogue or info box.

You’re right, the image in the settings dialogue shows it flipping on plan, front & 3D but sure it’s a graphical representation error for the window and should be fixed.

The only part is being flipped to O/I is the hinged leaf that can be opened leaving the fixed part as it is.

For sorry you’ve to use the other way for flipping by selecting the window then press any hotspot, from the pet palette choose mirror then press the middle window hotspot, it gonna be flipped.

Flipping a window just swaps the inside for the outside.

I think what you want to do is 'mirror' the window via the pet palette.

That will swap left to right.

If so, why the window settings’ dialogue shows a preview of mirrored window when pressing flip button?

Isn’t it a graphical error?

That clearly shows flipping inside to outside.

No I mean this preview image changes with flip as mirror at front & 3D options, you can check yourself.

Placing your mouse in the elevation or 3D preview and clicking, will just show you the other side of the object.

It does not actually rotate or mirror the window.
