pen set international version/USA version

I read the article PEN SET http://www.archicadwiki.com/Pen%20Sets and i know that there is a different setting of pen set from international -italian version from USA version. I like to know how American-English user works with pen set , in Italy there no habit to cad standards, if they use internal pen set andwith which logical they shape pen set. I ask because i try to create my personal cad standards, and i want to study and know the different approach to work.
sorry for my bad english.
If someone have pdf example of pen set or layer standard and want to help me. thanks

Hi Davide
The image attached is an example of PEN SET standard protocol that I have produced.
It shows the basic ROWS/COLUMNS organization of the PEN table.

I hope this helps

You're Welcome!
I'm glad you liked. It is too basic for advanced users, but necessary for new users / Autocad users.

Regards.

Excellent Visual Explanation Nando. On a different note which application are you using to make the images that you posted here.

Thanks in advance!

Hi Nando
Thanks for sharing!
This helps me think WAY past the couple basic pen
sets I've made for myself.
Never even dawned on me to look at it that way.
Absolutely fantastic!
Thanks again.
Take care.
Good luck on you move.
Be safe out there.

Is there a general consensus on mm vs. pt on pen weight? I have been going between a couple different sets but really unable to decide what I like. I think it might be time to develop my own. Nando, I love the way you organize yours! Just out of curiosity what elements/objects default to the pens in that last column? I would love to see what you are using for your pen weights , so many sets that I have tried print WAAAAAy too heavy.

Thanks again for this!
