For instance, if replacing the stair treads or nosings but not the whole staircase, it is quite a faff currently.
This also applies to parts of railings and curtain walls as well as other tools such as a door leaf etc.

Yeah, I hope so, too, I would really love this whole Skin-by-Skin design theme to be in Archicad, including Renovation status for sub-elements.

With stairs and railings you can actually set different renovation status for individual parts in 'Edit' mode.
But it doesn't seem to work properly when displaying the different filters.
For example if you tag something as 'New' you can show just the new parts and hide the existing.
But if you want to show the existing and hide the new, that doesn't work for some reason.
