Importing 3D objects

Am I correct in assuming that Archicad cannot do 3D text? On a line, or a curved line?

How can I import a 3D object (3D text from Form Z made into one 3D object ) into the Archicad environment? Via library parts? So far I've only gotten 2D lines.

There are parts in the library that will allow you to do 3D text. Try "Text 3D.gsm" in the "01 General" category.

They are primarily intended for signage and such so may be a little tedious for annotation (if that's what you are looking for), but will be much easier than trying to import from the likes of form•Z.

If Matthew's lib part solution doesn't do what you need, and if FormZ can export as 3DS - use the 3DS importer (Help > Goodies to download) and select 'smoothing'.
