2 story windows

I am trying to draw windows that extend from ground floor up into a mezzanine floor space. There are no slabs abutting the windows and I have input the proper heights. The window frames do show on the model and in elevation but no actual window. There is nothing showing in the 2nd story plan view. What am I doing wrong here? Thanks.

Hi Alexandria,

Firstly the wall the window is in needs to be a multistorey wall, i.e. a single wall physically stretching through both storeys. Secondly this needs to be set to show 'on all relevant storeys' and 'projected'.

The window display partly depends on the Floor Plan Cut Plane.

To force the window to show regardless of the FPCP, set it to 'symbolic'. If any part of the window appears on that storey (not necessarily intersecting the FPCP) it will now show. This is what I set windows to generally, and works most of the time.

The alternative is to set the window to 'projected', which will only display on the plan if the FPCP intersects it.

Hope that's clear!
