Curtain Wall - Display Gridlines? (AC12/OSX)

Hi all -

how can one get the gridlines to display for a curtain wall system? I am working on a building with a very complicated curtain wall system, and the last person to dimension the CW just created a tonne of hotspots and dimensioned to those (in order to show mullion dims). surely there is a better way, where you can show the gridlines and link your dims to them??

I hadn't considered it for the curtain wall... am I able to connect it so that when one updates, the other does too?

Years later on version 17... still can't figure out how to dimension a curtain wall in plan. Anyone ever figure this out?
