Correct the IFC subtypes of all library parts

As I use IFC and check library parts, I've noticed that the IFC subtype classifications for AC library parts are often enough incorrect.

For example the ADA restroom sign to be mounted on a wall has as its classification Model element>Furnishing>>Furniture Layout>TABLE

More often the problem is that they have only the general classification of "Model Element'.

As more of us and ideally all of us will be using IFC it is important that all library parts have their correct IFC subtype.

I agree Erika and hope that since GS is placing so much importance on IFC for external collaboration, that they really nail these things down.

Furthermore they should be going out of their way to educate users how to tweak the settings. One PDF isn't enough!

Cheers,
Link.

I've been trying also to find the master list of subtypes, anybody have a link?

Ditto to all of Erika's and Link's comments! Extremely important to get this going ... IFC is critical to collaboration...which is in turn critical to ArchiCAD's future.

Do these pages help? -

http://www.buildingsmart.com/bim which links to -

http://www.iai-tech.org/products/ifc_specification/ifc-releases/summary

It seems to have all the details of every IFC release.

No, unfortunately.
I'd been through them going in circles and didn't find a list.
I know you can make your own, but I am assuming there is a guide somewhere with a master list of what goes where.
