Openings in complex walls

The screet shot below shows a DWB window to the left, an AC10 SF door center, and an AC10 AF window to the right. The grey line at the bottom is the face of wall (the location of the origin when creating the profile). The desire is to have the openings set back from this face by 3" in order to align with the metal panel above.

In order to get the correct 2D representation (below), all 3 objects are placed with the "Edge" method (aka flush with face). But it's totally wrong in S/E and 3D (or, actually, correct and the 2D representation is wrong).

Looks like I'll be working around this by creating individual walls -- so much for complex profiles!
