My lights are on only during rendering

I'm using the Internal Engine. (I only have internal light objects that should work with the internal engine in my library.) I've made a wall and a decoration-object with holes in it, where I've put lights behind.
I've put on light from lamps in the settings dialogue and selected the Internal Engine. During the rendering, the lights are put on. It looks great, in fact (except of some terrible colors some other places in the drawing). I'm sitting there waiting to save this marvellous picture, but when the rendering is finished, the lights are turned off. I'm so diappointed
Are there someone out there having an idea of what I should do to fix this problem?

In the photorendering settings, are the lamps checked on?

It seems better now. The light behind the decoration are on. But it seems like the spots in the ceiling are not turned on. Why?

I was wondering if you were referring to the cone of light eminating from the fixture. Parameters>Light Settings>Light Cone in Rendering.

This to me looks rather harsh. Instead you could keep the above setting off and place one of the general light source objects to give a glow as of the bulb at the fixture. With it you might also use the General Light to give overall light to the room.

But I see now Dwight is hot on the case, so I will leave it to him.

Erika: lukewarm. Like bathwater after the third twin.

Just guessing:

It could mean that she needs to enable "light cone in rendering" in the lamp object..... but:

Anne probably wants her downlite disks to glow. Bright spots shining in the night like distant galaxies.

NOTE TO SELF: new alien pickup line "make my downlite disks glow, big stuff."

I would guess she needs to redefine the lamp material to a constantly reflecting type - in the LightWorks definition this would be to make a plain colored material with Reflection class shader "constant"

I am in a writing mood now.
