Curtain wall tool. You can tilt it to roof appearance.

Edit: Sorry, not in AC11. But you can hunt for an object, use an add-on like Archiglazing, or make an object yourself, or just build it with ordinary roofs.

Hi Jonathan,
Long time ago, I hope all is well!
There are several ways. As Thomas said ordinary elements work great. I bear in mind I did a similar thing with Solid Element Operations many years ago.
One mesh minus a mesh and a few slabs/roofs and bob's your uncle so to say.
Regular roofs and walls are surely the easiest way.
From AC12 you use Curtain Wall for all these kinds of things and more.

thanks for putting so much effort into your reply for me thomas!
i've been 'dreading' learning this, but these tutorials look great.
i'm always impressed with archiCAD, it seems the more complex things get, the more the software shines.

You can also use an object called Sloped Curtain Wall (or what is its name in english). In AC11 it is in basic library between structures.
