Is it possible to export a layout with several drawings and title block as a DWG for further editing so that what you see is what you get?

Go to the DWG Translation Setup Dialog and check out the Save Layout Into field in the Save Options page.
There are four possible options. You can find their description in the Help files.
See if one of them does what you need.

Laszlo - Thanks for your prompt reply. I should have given more information regarding the problem - We have tried most every possible combination of available translators and settings - We are providing some drafting and design services for a firm that uses AutoCAD and that wants to be able to edit the drawings. We can save the individual drawings but not the layouts. When we attempt to save a layout the floor plan portion is visible but will not crop, other drawings are not visible and the title block is not visible. Any suggestions?

Maybe it is because the Layout converts to Paper Space. The drawing parts convert to Model Space.
Are you sure that the Layouts are not there in the generated DWG as Paper Space entities?
