Where is opening box to choose project to open AC

The opening dialogue box where you can choose which project etc. you want to open has disappeared again on my various ACs.

Where is the setting for this again?

Thanks Laura, this has been driving me nuts for a few months now.
Any one know why after all these years this has started happening?

You can turn it off by checking the "Do not Display this Dialog Next Time" box in the dialog. Maybe it was accidentally checked, or there some-sort-of "System Variable" (in ACAD terms) that switched it off?

There is also a preference / registry setting if you want to dig into that and avoid resetting other things that new & reset does. (I thought there was a UI preference checkbox somewhere but cannot find it - only the one in the dialog itself to now show it again.)

For Mac, com.graphisoft.AC 13[version.plist has

WorkEnvironment > StartupDialogEnabled

just check the item to re-enable the dialog. Did not fire up Windows to look, but I assume it is something like current user > Software > Graphisoft > [AC 13 version thing] > WorkEnvironment > etc

Cheers,
Karl

It is:

Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Graphisoft\ArchiCAD\ArchiCAD 13.0.0 USA R1\WorkEnvironment and set the StartupDialogEnabled value to 1.

Thank you both for how to fix this. I am always a bit nervous going into registry settings on my own.

I did file a bug report on this as it shouldn't be happening. If GS wants it to be a choice, then there should be a UI setting for it as we all looked for.

I think you can "freely abuse" the Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Graphisoft part of the registry.
If anything goes wrong you can just delete the whole thing and ArchiCAD will recreate it the next time you run it.
