wall composite showing in doorway in plan

I have a profile that i'm using on my wall that is representing a brick base that steps out.

when i view an opening in this wall in 3d, the opening is cut perfectly fine. but in plan, i see the "brick base" portion closing off the opening.

any ideas as to why this is happening?

Seems weird!

Are you saying that wall profile includes the brick base? Or that the brick base is a separate profile?

(In 3D, it actually looks weird to me to have the opening frame have a depth that includes the brick base, rather than just the wall.)

What is the representation for the opening - symbolic, projected, etc?

Cheers,
Karl

We have seen this stuff before. In fact, we have seen this
ever since AC 10 introduced Complex Profiles.

If I change the representation to projected, it looks better in plan because the brick trim is cut, but now the frame extends past the wall in both plan and in 3d. It'll do, because we're not going to show a 3d view of the basement, we just needed to account for the floor space.

Thanks!
