Creating new line types

I'm creating a gravel line type but would like the reference line to be at the bottom (not centered) simular to the earth or stone line types. How do I set this reference line?

If you are creating using the cut/paste technique, make sure the Project Origin is within the bounding box of selected elements (located where you want the "reference" point to be), otherwise the reference point will be centered on the symbol line.

I'm apparently missing a step. I've moved my line type elements to the project origin. I've tried selecting there and pasting...no good; tried marque around elements and origin, select all, control C, and then paste...no good. Am I missing something?

Never mind.....figured it out. Must be origin of plan...not origin of a view like an independent.
Thank you!!!

When you say "no good" what do you mean? Is nothing being pasted? Were you having problems before you moved the elements to the origin?

They were pasting just fine but with no reference to the origin, which was my original problem. I decided maybe I should close my detail window and try it in plan view just in case...and whala! It worked.

Even better ... let the reference point BE the origin - absolute 0,0,0
