Curtain Wall - elevation above current floor

Hi,

The question is absurd, but after checking out the manual and searching the forums:

I'm still lost in how I am supposed to change elevation of curtain walls in plan (v.12)? I can only do it in 3D, unlike with most other objects in AC. This obvious parameter was totally omitted by GS, does anybody know what's wrong with my thinking?

Thanks.

If you are right, that is astonishing.

I have been relying on the old "Elevate" command.

Right, there's the elevate command.

Still, the problem is that there's no readout of the current elevation above floor.
Accidentally, I'm dealing with an existing split-level situation and the only moment AC will ask for curtain wall bottom/top elevation is during the creation process, via dedicated dialog box. A half-baked portion of the cake, or was it supposed to work this way, I don't know.

Thank you Dwight

As the CW can have any orientation in the space, (and it can be curved and multi-surface too) I think this is a "wanted un-feature"
Too difficult to say wich point would be the reference for the elevation, after some 3D rotation.
