I AM TRYING TO BRING IN MY THE SKETCH UP MODEL INTO ARCHICAD 12 I DOWNLOAD THE PLUGIN FOR 11 BECAUSE THE PLUG IN FOR 12 DID NOT COME OUT AS YET.
WHAT STEP DO I NEED TO PERFORM TO GET THE MODEL INTO AC12?

You should update your profile to include AC12.
AFter you brought your sketchup model into an AC11 file, could you not open that same file in AC12?

Try exporting/importing using 3DS format.
