VB trees (like the Artlantis VB trees, for ArchiCAD)

Saw them today at a dealer demonstration. I can' t find them anywhere online so maybe they are not out there yet. But they are the same awesome Artlantis trees http://www.artlantis.com/index.php?page=products/medias/index&cdm=3dplants, in GDL with the ArchiCAD interface and 2D symbols (I couldn't check, but it would be safe to bet that the seasonal look is tied to the date in the Sun Settings). I think this is great news.

Was it this 'Greenline by Graphisoft' pack? The help pdf is dated 2006, so maybe not the 'new' product you saw.

I can't really see any decent shots of the trees. I wonder how they actually look both in an elevation and a lightworks render?

Duh, oh yeah! Can't see the wood for all the trees!

I will have a play later! (But are they the ones that Ignacio saw?)

Yes they were those. I did not have a clue they existed. I love the Artlantis ones, low poly and very good rendering quality even on closeups.

sorry to dredge up an old thread but are the artlantis type trees still available for ArchiCAD for free somewhere?

I've found one trial tree, that I abuse by planting it everywhere I need a realistic broad-leaved tree.

The Garden Works library is available from BIMcomponents (link at the top of the site here), it has ok-ish trees.

I've also made some 'cardboard' trees from the 2D symbolic side/front view trees from the standard library.

The sad part is, we have this library, but it is for Artlantis. Should've bought the ArchiCAD one back in the day.

Artlantis seems to be able to open up objects like trees individually And you can save them out as individual 3d objects perhaps one filetype might be compatible with archicad?

Best best is probably either SKP or 3DS.

You can import those as objects. You will probably get some extra polygon/triangle lines.
