Importing from cinema 4d to archicad

Hi.

I have looked all over google for the answere, but all I can find is how to export from archicad into C4D. Not the other way.

Somebody who know how to do this? I have tried to export as a DXF file.
But that is just a 2d file with lines in archicad.

Thankful for help.

If you have both AC and C4D then install the Cinema4D Add-On. You can then launch C4D from within AC. Anything added to the C4D file is returned to AC as a GDL object.

The alternative is save the C4D as a 3DS and import into AC using the 3DS-Import Add-On

http://www.graphisoft.com/support/archicad/downloads/goodies12/INT.html

This will also turn the imported 3DS into a GDL object, but from memory the Cinema4D Add-On seems to do a better job of it.

Thanx owen.

But is there an add-on for c4d R9? because thats the version I got.
The oldest i find on the link you gave me, is for version R10.

Or is the option to upgrade?

The old Maxonform plugin (which was not free) was based on R9, however the new free plugin is based on R10.1 (i think). You would have to ask GS about an R9 version .. i don't think it will be a positive reply though.
