What?
I have not loaded 13 yet.
Have they really put it under mvo global settings?
What happened to a window's parameter settings.
Parameters>3d Rep>Opening lines in 3d?
Which worked per individual window fine in 12 I thought.
A new trick?

Yes, a new trick:) All options which typically are depending on the given views are now set in the model view options dialog. This is an open technology, so 3rd party library developers can use it too. (Window parameter settings is still there, naturally.)

Zsolt,
I know it has been brought up before, but is it possible to add back in the ability to over-ride these global settings on individual basis?

It is possible, sure. The problem is that two controls for the same function necessarily create a collision which has to be resolved. We circumvented this situation by dropping the individual setting for most view dependent settings (not all of them but won't look it up right now). Naturally, we expected feedback from the users after the release of AC13.

For which view options would you need individual setting?

Zsolt,

we have solved this problem, that all the parameters that are in the MVO have the same UI in the win-door objects. In the object UI you can turn it on/off the "use the MVO settings" parameter.

I think one of people want to use individually the pivot lines and the others the type of the opening lines, ect...

Regs,
Since you ask
It's great having the abilitiy to make global settings like turning off knobs taps and handles for 3D work, but there are times when doing any phase where you may want them.

1. show door knobs on doors you walk through, but not cabinet doors.
2. Sometimes we show a fixed version of a door such as a patio door assembly and we want only the operable ones to show the swing. Or to show active leaf of a pair of doors.

3. Door & window opening line: some use this to differentiate doors. This has been discussed elsewhere .here for one discussion.

4. Show additional hotspots for d/w and the Minimal Space only as global on/off have as yet not been a problem for me.

Szia Zsolt, we do a lot of renovation and addition projects.

To be able to show existing clearly from new is the big plus our local
GDL guru has made available in his latest 4D Library
We can globally set many MV options and then decide which parts
be they doors/windows/cabinet/fixtures to display differently.

I am sure it could make it in v14
