Hidden lines in plan view appearing as solid , not dashed

I am trying to draw a simple foundation plan composed of a concrete wall supporting a slab.
The wall is made up of 2 walls, the top one thinner than the bottom.
The slab sits against the edge of the wall.
My 2 problems are:
1) the lower inside wall edge should be dashed, instead of solid, as it is hidden.
2) the lower overlapping slap edge should be dashed instead of solid.
I have included the plan view of my first problem.
As I seem to be limited to 1 file upload shall create a 2nd posting for the slab problem whish is the same thing.
Thanks for any assistance, in what appears to be a very simple problem.

See Hidden lines in plan view for description of problem.
But attached file shows my problem.
This is my 2nd problem, very similar to the 1st.
Again any help would be appreciated.

You can delete your other thread before someone responds to it (meaning you won't be able to delete it THEN) and post your second image / message using the "post reply" link to this one.

In response to your query, a slab will not automatically obscure another item which is below it unless you use a cover fill, and then it will cover it totally, not make the line dotted.

As s2art pointed out, there are a couple workarounds to make it happen, but Archicad doesn't do that on its own.

In case you are interested one of the tricks Tom is referring to is to use a cover fill of diagonal white lines (with a very heavy pen) and no background color.

Thanks for all your help.
The solution of putting a cover fill on the top slab so it completely covers the underlying slab is fine.
But, from a purely drawing point of view, I think it is incorrect.
It's not showing what is really happening.
So is there any way to get the portion of slab that is underneath dashed, with the rest of it being solid?
I would also have thought that this should be the default option?
My only other option seems to be to to use a cover fill and draw an extra dashed line around that edge?

If your cover fill makes the outline of the slab below dashed, then all is well.

Yes, this should be the option ... maybe one for the wishlist?
