Cover Fill origins

I am working on reflected ceiling plans , the ceilings have all been modelled as slabs with cover fills. The cover fill is a 600x600 grid representative of suspended ceiling tiles.

I am in the process of manually moving the fill origins and then marking the origins of the cover fill with a 2D "setting out point" symbol.

Is there anyway of automating this process? Ideally by showing a cover fill origin without having to add the 2D symbols. Failing that, a means of at least snapping to the fill origin? As it is, I am simply zooming in and dragging the symbol by eye.

Thanks for your help

Hey Si,

Turn on 'Fill handles' in the On-Screen View Options. (it's on the View menu, and also the OSVO toolbar).

This will show you a non-printing snappable hotspot on the fills with a fill origin. Use this to snap your setting-out point to.

Hope that helps!

Cheers for that Peter, its certainly sped up the process.

Just seems a shame there's no way of toggling a printable origin? I suppose aside from suspended ceilings there aren't many instances when it's required?
