Can't import AutoCAD solids

Anonymous
Not applicable
I can import AutoCAD dwg files like library parts, but I can't import solid object (it doesn't appear). So when I need something in 3D I have to model it with surfaces in AutoCAD.

I work in AutoCAD2004 and ArchiCAD 8. How to import AutoCAD's solids into ArchiCAD?

You can't. First you have to convert them to surface objects - and the best way is to go via 3ds; detailed explanation is on the ArchiGuide.

Not that you need the AutoCAD solids any more ... IMHO 😉
