How to set up a proper Isometric axonometry?

Hi everyone! 😃

I'm having troubles setting up a correct isometric projection.
In the "parallel projection setting box" I choose the custom isometric axonometry settings but I'm not satisfied with the result. It does not look like a iso 30°.
I know isometric projection distorts shapes slightly in order to keep all upright lines vertical but mine looks weird? (see attachement)

Also, I would love to be able to do an isometric axonometry where you can see how each floor come to stack eachother (see attament)....
is it possible to do that with Archicad? I was thinking I could explode each floor by setting different heights?

Thank you guys

You have it pre-set in the 3D window settings. Explore the buttons.

hi Alan Delmas,
i have the same question about the exploded axonometric. did you find another solution then exploding each floor by setting different heights?

Alan, Angelos!

This is not a one-click solution but it can be done and kept LIVE to the model.

Lucan Robinson has a well explained method on AEC Bytes:

No doubt this method could be developed further using 3D documents.

Chaps: It's helpful if you add a signature to your profile telling us about the version of archicad, the build and the libraries you use etc and your hardware so the answers can be related to your set up.
