Automatic dimensioning on Curtain Wall

Hi all,
I was making a tutorial video on how to use Curtain Wall as "under ceiling"...(btw what is the proper english word?) and I tested automatic dimensioning and well...see attachment.
30+ sec to open PS CS3 on my MacbookPro...need to clean the machine...luckily AC is running smooth.

Here in Portugal we call it: something like... "False Ceiling"...

Good idea for a CW tutorial!...

Keep up the good work.

A sloppy one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mBHshiYNlro
I'm just learning iMovie and the publish to Youtube function. We do loads of tutorial vids for our lovely language base but I'll try to slip some more swenglish ones through.

This was Fun and Fast... I just did a brief tips&trix note to our ArchiMAG and this is the image to go with it. Just a quickie.

That's a nice little tutorial, Mats!

I presume this is in AC13, as the autodim dialog box looks different than in AC12.

The autodim feature does seem to take a while on a curtain wall with lots of panels doesn't it! I see it's one of the parts of AC12 that isn't multicore supported yet as I just tried it with a curtain wall ceiling with about 1000 panels and only one core seems to be in use!!

Also, if I could make a suggestion, it would be worth making the sound a bit louder as you're very quiet on the recording. If you listen to an official GS one straight afterwards you will deafen yourself!

Hey Peter... You should have seen him during the Sweden X Hungary football match...

Thats why he is speaking so quietly now.

How long would it take to do it manually??? 😉
I'll raise the volume slightly.

Hi Mats
Well I did enjoy the tutorial!
For my two pennies on the volume, it was just fine on my
headset, speakers I don't know, since I don't use them.
It's the G.S. volume that blows my ears out.
I think the common term for "under roof" is:
dropped ceiling.
Have a great day.
Happy Trails
