Shortcuts, tips& tricks, etc. for newbie

Hello,

I just started using ArchiCAD. I have previously used AutoCAD (first the basic version, later AutoCAD Architecture over all +15 years) and in AutoCAD I mainly used shortcuts to give the commands (in the command line). Can you recommend the shortcuts that are usefull to use in ArchiCAD? Also in AutoCAD I had a punch of lisps to do all kinds of commands easier and faster - can you also recommend "must-know" tips&tricks for a newbie?

Thanks!

Let's start with some Basic Shortcuts I like to use.
Shift+F3 to open 3D "walk" View
F5 to start walking after you have used Shift+F3 (F5 in the Norwegian version) (Click on the Walking man in the international version)
F2 to go back to plan
F6 to go to last Section you used
Ctrl+D to Drag.
Ctrl+L to open Layer Settings
Ctrl+7 to go to Storey Settings
Ctrl+T to see the Dialouge Box of your chosen Object/Element

Hold in Shift while click on Objects to Choose Objects for editing and changing.

In plan/2D note that your Cursor changes while you hit different Objects, corners of Objects, Lines etc. As in Autocad you "snap" to Objects. Your Cursor turns into a black Pencil or a V when snapping.

But first of all: If you understand basic English, go to Graphisoft's excellent Home Page and view the interactive training Videos.

Choose International English (metric) You will learn a lot!
