preview on Windows Explorer

Hi.
I've install Windows 7-64, and, after the installation of ArchiCAD 12, there are no previews of the objects in Windows Explorer. So I go to the folder Graphisoft Shell Extension and execute the 'register.bat', right?
But it doesn't work... what can I do now?

Cristina, are you by any chance getting a quicktime (or some other graphics viewer) icon instead of the preview? It could be that the file association for gsm is incorrect. Have a look at this thread.

No, HTH.
The icon I see is that of AC 12...
And I've verified the association; gsm files are associated with ArchiCAD (ArchiCAD 12... component).

Any other ideas for me?

Thanks.

Could be a problem of Windows 7?

One thing is for sure: Windows 7 was not on the market when ArchiCAD 12 was released so such problems are indeed possible.

Well, there will be a bug fix?....
I have a huge library (very huge!...) Couldn't see the previews is really a problem, for me.

Cristina, it is useful to put your platform (eg. Windows7 + basic machine specs) and your ArchiCad version in the signature - it can often make a difference to the replies you get.

That is a very good question.
I don't know how big of a task is to take a version and then test the whole thing on a new operating system.

We all have problems with abbreviations some time or the other - especially if we've crossed our teens... Let's hope someone who has used Win7 has a solution for you.
