preview on Windows Explorer

Hi.
I've install Windows 7-64, and, after the installation of ArchiCAD 12, there are no previews of the objects in Windows Explorer. So I go to the folder Graphisoft Shell Extension and execute the 'register.bat', right?
But it doesn't work... what can I do now?

Lazlo, why does the word "t e e n" get censored? "Teens" does not, as you can see in the post above.

I have the same issue with Mac OS X.6. Apparently some image formats aren't compatible w/ 64 bit OS's. You may have to convert them.

How? Better yet: to what?

For me the offending files were PICT and mostly 8bit jpegs. I usedGraphic Converter and converted them to png. I don't know the windows equivalent but anything like photo shop will do. I used Graph. Conv. because it does batching easier than the version of PS I have.

Jeffrey, are we talking about the same?
Because I've lost the previews of the *.gsm, *.dor, etc., objects in Windows Explorer - I've never used Mac, so I don't know what is equivalent...

If I understand you correctly when you're in the library browser or the file explorer you simply see a generic object (chair) icon instead of an image of the object? That is the same as what I see. In the library browser it doesn't even acknowledge the existence of an associated image. The majority of these were PICT files. The others just show a generic jpg icon and not an image.

Now that I think about it the only images that were batch converted were those used by the object and not their "icons" those have to be done individually by opening the library part and placing a new preview image.

Because this word very often occurs together with other words that are subject to banning. I cannot give you examples though.

Jeffrey, you said:

.

That's not exactly my problem. In the library browser I see the images correctly. But in Windows Explorer (maybe what you call file explorer?), I see the icon of AC 12.

I have tons of objects - almost 4GB -, in a 'extra library', And when I look for something without a preview... it's a little bit difficult!
