[newbie] GDL + Web Control + XML

i'm doing a research about gdl and i saw the demo about the interaction with xml on the web plugin.

i see that it is possible to make a some sort of ui with html to manage data for 3d view.

is there some state of art of this use?

i only got some links on the graphisoft page but they didn't work well.

i want to link data from/to gdl objects and from/to xml of excel.

and i want to do it without opening archicad or excel.

could it be possible?

I don't know if this is possible.
GDL has capabilities of writing to and reading from files.
But that is available only within ArchiCAD.

I don't know if this will help with what you are doing, but:
If you right-click on the GDL symbol on your desktop or where ever you have it, you get properties tabs for Info & preview, Master script,2D script, 3D script, parameter script and summary.

it's strange to read that in the official site of the GDL web control somthing about xml and gdl and to find none answer about it.

the GDL web control is on it's way out i think. All it seems to do is crash my browser (safari)

Sorry i know a little bit, as we played with it for about a year. looking at integrating it into our sites.
However we gave up, as it is old hack now & there isn't any support for it. i don't even think they update.
