Hello,
I am using ArchiCAD Start Edition 2009. I just got the software a few months ago and it seems that I don't have a large selection of fills. When I go to ELEMENT ATTRIBUTES and then FILL TYPES I only see a selection of 10 or so, and none with any patterns (for example diagonal hatches).
Is there somewhere where I can access a larger selection of hatches? Or do I need to make them myself? If I do, then how does one go about doing that?
You could do a web search to find pre-made ArchiCAD Fill Libraries, or create your own, it is fairly simple - Check out the ArchiCAD Help file or do a search on ArchicadWiki.
Do a New and Reset or start a new project using the basic ArchiCAD Template. That should have a lot more Fill Types.
You probably started the project by using the settings of an earlier project instead of using the Template File. In this case all attributes are inherited from the previous project, meaning that if in that Project most of the Fill Types were deleted then you will not have them available in this project either.
Loving Archicad since 1995 - Find Archicad Tips at x.com/laszlonagy AMD Ryzen9 5900X CPU, 64 GB RAM 3600 MHz, Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB, 500 GB NVMe SSD 2x28" (2560x1440), Windows 10 PRO ENG, Ac20-Ac27
Aha, you're right. That's what must have happened. Now I've gotten so far with this file (drawing and creating Layouts) that I don't want to start over even though the template I chose is the wrong one. Is there any way to change the template once the file has been created?
Or to import a fill from another template? I looked on ArchiCAD help and the online Reference Guide but couldn't find anything.
I would try creating the fill from scratch but when I go to FILL TYPES under ELEMENT ATTRIBUTES, it seems that not all of the "Edit Vectorial Pattern" options are available form within the file with the wrong template.
