Odd numbers?

Can someone explain to me what I'm doing wrong to get these odd numbers?

you're getting confused between the 'inner edge' and 'wall reference' zone perimeters, maybe?

if you place a zone with the 'wall reference' method and those wall reference lines are set into, or on the other side of, the wall, the gross perimeter is going to be different from the inner edge perimeter of the walls . . .

and i'm not sure, but wall/column subtractions may also interfere with your gross/net values . . . ?

Here is one of the problem zones. I deleted and placed it again with the magic wand, and I'm still getting those numbers.

Also the zones edges are entirely inside the room!?!? Could this just be a glitch? Maybe I'm just missing something here.

whoa! strange . . . as soon as i posted your attachments showed up. they weren't there earlier, i swear!

first off - which magic wand method did you place it with? 'inner edge' or 'wall reference'?

second: check in your zone settings>'Area Calculation' to see what - if any adjustments are being made automatically.

third, is your zone polygon set to gross or net?

lastly: zones are a black art! if the above doesn't shed any light, i'm stumped . . .

I'm back working on the project today......

After letting AC11 add up the sum of "Length of the wall at the center"
it equals 6,87"6.43"................

Did I miss this class in college or is there a problem with AC? I exported the schedule into excel removed the inch marks and the sum is 6,804.43... A slight similarity.

Also, can excel add numbers with inch marks following them? I could only get it to sum it up after removing them.
Thanks,

I'm still running into this problem when adding up total lengths of walls.

The correct overall length is 4,246.27"

It reads 4,24" 6.27"

I have a 3rd party spell checker (SpellCathcer X) that can also be set to automatically use smart quotes and perform other substitutions. At some point I discovered that one of those features was messing with AC dimensions and coordinates. I was able to disable the offending feature(s) on an application by application basis and all is well. Just a thought.
